At Rooster Logic, we understand the value of the communities we work in. As a company, we constantly strive to enable and empower people around us through possible means. On our journey, we discovered that adolescent girls carry a strong work ethic. We also came to know that they are seeking opportunities to become self-reliant. To give back to this community, we devised the ‘Sukarmi’ program. Sukarmi in Nepali means people who do good work.
As Sukarmis, participants receive opportunities to work as research investigators on paid assignments that follow a flexible schedule. Armed with mobile phones, the network of Sukarmis is trained in conducting surveys and collecting data. The participants are ready daily to perform these tasks.
Apart from providing Sukarmis with a flexible, well-paid digital job within their communities, we also provide them with soft skills development to expand their life skills.

Sukarmi Plus
While adolescent girls receive training to become competent and capable enumerators under the Sukarmi program, we understand that some projects require advanced and specific skills with more experience in the field. Sukarmi Plus is an open-to-all opportunity for graduates/trained enumerators to enroll in a flexible work program.
We currently have a network of over 1600 Sukarmis and Sukarmi Plus spread across 7 provinces of Nepal. We aim to expand this network to over 5000 participants to enable rapid collection of real-time data. With the Sukarmi program, we hope to spotlight the issues facing the population and become a powerful engine to inform, influence, and modify policies and programs.
