Overview 

Tripti Water Filter is an alternative for water filtering for people who get their drinking water from unfiltered sources. Water jars are the most popular source of water for people who rely on unfiltered sources. These jars are cheap for one time purchase but might prove costly in the long run. Moreover, these jars do not guarantee clean drinking water. Tripti Water Filter is also an alternative to boiling. 

The objectives behind this research were: 

  • To understand the triggers behind the purchase of water filters 
  • How to modulate information to attain higher sales through traditional and virtual mediums of distribution

  •  Decision-making aspects behind the purchase of water filter
  • Perception of potential consumers towards Tripti Water Filter 
  • Degree of willingness to pay for the product 

Methodology 

The scope of the survey was within the Kathmandu Valley. Based on the criteria set by the client, the human network of Sukarmis identified suitable respondents. Rooster Logic's pool of expert moderators carried out multiple In-Depth Interviews (IDI). The respondents were divided into two groups: those who used water filters and those who directly used jar water. The IDIs were carried out till a saturation point was reached for these two groups. 

With a strong network of Sukarmis and a pool of expert moderators and analysts, we were able to run the research smoothly even during the COVID pandemic and provide the client with crucial action points.
