Consumer Behavior on Consumption of Goat Meat in Kathmandu Valley
Client: Heifer Project Nepal
Year: 2020
Overview
Heifer Project Nepal wanted to introduce blockchain technology in goat meat distribution to provide a snapshot of information like the source of meat, health condition of goat, etc. This information can aid the buyer in better decision-making while purchasing goat meat.
Rooster Logic carried out this project for Heifer Project Nepal to understand the level of consumption for each type of meat and the aspects behind the purchase decision for goat meat and premium goat meat.
Methodology
Rooster Logic carried out this project in just about a month within Kathmandu Valley. A specific client-centric sampling design was developed, and 400 samples were collected. We were involved in framework development, questionnaire design, data collection, and data analysis for the research. The human network of enumerators, Sukarmis, identified the respondents and proceeded to conduct the digital survey using REMO, an application with an android phone on the front end. After the data collection, we carried out the analysis with inputs and opinions from a panel of experts associated with Rooster Logic.
