Tracer Study of Certified Graduate
Client: Swiss Contact/NSTB
Year: 2019
Overview
NSTB/Swiss Contact works on the certification of different skill sets and measures the impact of the certification and the current needs of the graduates. Measuring these impacts and current needs helps to understand the context and find areas to improve. As part of this measurement project, NSTB/Swiss Contact wanted to check the impact of certification on four different verticals and three levels of each of those verticals across 24 districts through a survey. The objective of the survey was to identify the needs, current status, and impact of the certification in the graduate’s work and professional life.
Methodology
Rooster Logic carried out the survey, managed data, and provided the final analysis and report. The respondents for the survey were graduates from the past three years. The survey was carried out in 24 districts across 7 provinces with a total of 3841 samples. A control group of 5% unsuccessful candidates and 10% successful candidates were taken.
Teams were assigned to work on the reachable graduates and to carry out interviews with the help of REMO.
During the project, the geographical area of the survey extended to multiple districts. The final count was 51 districts. Rooster Logic could easily scale up the survey area without much change on the cost with the help of the human network of Sukarmi present in over 70 districts in Nepal. The presence of Sukarmis allowed us to scale the project with minimal time intervention showing the optimal combination of resources available at Rooster Logic that makes us adaptable and agile.
