Rooster Logic surveyed 384 Kathmandu Valley residents on "Vital Registration: Knowledge and Prevalence." The survey focused on the dissemination of information among the participants related to birth, death, marriage, divorce, and migration registration including the cost and process associated with the same.

The Vital Registration system was developed in 16th Century England and has become one of the most common and crucial methods for collecting demographic data.

Overview:

Through the research survey, we can see that 64% of participants knew about Vital Registration, which is still relatively low considering the penetration of media and the internet. Among the 64% who knew about the process, only 22% knew about online vital registration.
